Stephanie Eghigian  

Stephanie Eghigian
Executive Director

Stephanie Eghigian began her non-profit career in 1989 as an advocate for the YWCA’s Rape Crisis and Domestic Violence Programs. In 1996, she became Executive Director of Compeer of the Mohawk Valley. Under her leadership, Compeer received the International Association of Compeer Programs’ award for the most innovative volunteer recruitment for their “Friendship Comes from the Heart” recruitment campaign.

In 2000, Stephanie moved to Buffalo, NY where she served as Community Resource Director for Haven House, a 36-bed domestic violence shelter.  During her tenure at Haven House, Stephanie traveled throughout Erie County, providing training on domestic violence recognition and intervention. In addition to training staff and employees at many Western New York agencies, Stephanie was also the keynote speaker at the Southtowns Coalition’s Annual Conference, a presenter at the Erie County Department of Social Services Domestic Violence Conference and a presenter at the University at Buffalo’s Conference of Medical Professionals. 

In 2004, Stephanie moved to Syracuse, NY where she served as the Development Director for Meals on Wheels of Syracuse. Prior to accepting the Executive Director position at The Women’s Fund, Stephanie was the Emergency Services Director for the Utica Chapter of the American Red Cross.
